SERVICE
Tucson Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Crown
Tucson practices see a wide mix of patients, from university-affiliated faculty and staff near the University of Arizona to rural referrals coming in from Sahuarita and Green Valley. That mix means crown cases cover a broad occlusal demand spectrum. PFM remains the workhorse solution when a patient needs posterior durability without the full cost step-up to monolithic zirconia, and when the prep allows enough metal collar clearance to avoid esthetic compromise.
- Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
- A named technician on every case
- Margins verified against your prescription

THE DETAIL
How we build it.
National-network labs serving Tucson route PFM cases through centralized casting facilities, which adds a handoff between the casting technician and the porcelain technician. That split-accountability model is where margin fit errors tend to originate. Dani Dental keeps casting and layering under one roof, with one technician holding named responsibility for the case start to finish. If a question surfaces mid-fabrication, that technician calls the submitting doctor directly, not a customer service queue. Large volume labs in the category compete on price by standardizing alloy selection across every case regardless of indication. Dani Dental does not operate that way. Alloy selection is documented per case in the case sheet and communicated back to the doctor at delivery. That documentation matters for patient records and for any future retreatment decisions the doctor needs to make years later. Tucson also has a handful of regional boutique labs doing solid ceramic-only work. PFM is not their specialty and turnaround times on metal-framework cases from those shops often stretch to 10 or more business days. Dani Dental's five-business-day standard applies to PFM specifically, not as a category average inflated by faster all-ceramic cases. Tucson accounts receive the same turnaround commitment as Phoenix metro accounts with no distance surcharge.
GETTING CASES TO US
Logistics, to the bench.
Dani Dental fabricates PFM crowns using high-noble and noble alloys selected to match the clinical indication. High-noble alloys go to high-load posterior cases and patients with documented metal sensitivity concerns documented as negative for gold allergy. Noble frameworks cover the cost-conscious mid-range without sacrificing marginal fit. Every frame is cast in-house, not outsourced to a casting service, and the porcelain layering is done by the same named technician who signs off on the case. Submission is straightforward for Tucson accounts: intraoral scans (iTero, Medit, 3Shape Trios) drop directly into our case portal with no conversion step. Traditional PVS impressions ship via our prepaid envelope program. Shade communication runs through the portal with reference photography or a written Vita Classical or 3D-Master designation. Cases received before 2 p.m. MST enter the same-day queue.
