Dani Dental has fabricated crown and bridge restorations for Arizona clinicians since 1993. Every case runs through our Ivoclar-certified ceramic workflow, ships with the direct line of the technician who built it, and arrives with a documented 5-day standard turnaround.

Every crown and bridge case enters our Exocad-based digital design queue the same day the scan or impression arrives. Intraoral scans from iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, and Medit formats are accepted natively. Physical impressions are poured, scanned on our lab-side Medit T500+ scanner, and logged into the case queue within four business hours of receipt. No case sits unassigned overnight. Design is handled by named technicians, not a pooled CAD center. The clinician whose name appears on the case confirmation is the technician who designs and reviews the restoration. For anterior esthetic units, our IPS e.max layering protocol follows Ivoclar's Value Shade System, and every anterior crown receives a pre-delivery photograph sent to the ordering doctor before the case ships. That step alone eliminates the majority of shade-related remakes before the patient sits in the chair. Milling happens in-house on a Dentsply Sirona inLab MC X5 five-axis milling unit. We mill zirconia from Katana (Kuraray) and BruxZir (Glidewell) blocks depending on indication and translucency requirements. IPS e.max CAD blocks for press and mill cases are sourced directly from Ivoclar to maintain lot traceability. No third-party milling center handles Dani Dental crown and bridge work. Full chain of custody, start to finish. Sintering and crystallization cycles are logged per unit, not per batch. Each zirconia crown carries a sintering log that travels with the case file. This matters when a doctor calls six months later asking why a contact opened or a restoration fractured. We have the data to answer that question in real time, not after a week of digging. Final inspection uses a Renfert EASY view stereo microscope at 10x magnification before every case leaves the lab. Margin integrity, occlusal anatomy, and contact tightness are each checked and initialed by the reviewing technician. Cases that do not pass leave the lab the following day after correction. Cases that pass ship same day via tracked courier with the technician's direct line printed on the packing sheet.

What impression and scan formats does Dani Dental accept for crown and bridge cases?
We accept digital scans from iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, and Medit formats natively through our Exocad-based CAD pipeline. Physical PVS and polyether impressions are also accepted. Physical impressions are poured and scanned in-house on a Medit T500+ scanner within four business hours of arrival, so the turnaround clock for physical-impression cases starts the same day we receive the package, not the following morning.
What is your standard turnaround time for crown and bridge restorations?
Standard turnaround is 5 business days from scan or impression receipt to shipment. Monolithic zirconia single units qualify for a 3-day rush option. Full-arch bridge cases and layered anterior esthetic cases may require 7 days depending on complexity. Rush fees apply to expedited cases. Call your assigned technician directly to confirm the timeline before you seat the patient for prep, and we will give you a case-specific commit date the same day.
Which materials do you use for zirconia crowns, and how do I choose between them?
We mill from Katana (Kuraray) and BruxZir (Glidewell) zirconia blocks. Katana UTML is our default for anterior units requiring higher translucency. BruxZir Arch is the specification for full-arch posterior cases where flexural strength is the priority. Your technician will recommend the block selection based on the indication and the opposing dentition noted in your Rx. If you have a preference, mark it on the prescription and we will follow your specification.
How does Dani Dental handle anterior shade matching on crown and bridge cases?
Anterior cases follow our IPS e.max layering protocol with Ivoclar's Value Shade System. Before any anterior crown ships, the reviewing technician photographs the restoration against the shade tab and emails the image to the ordering doctor for approval. We hold the case until we receive a reply. That pre-delivery confirmation step is how we keep shade-related remakes below our overall remake threshold of less than 2.5%, measured across all 2024 crown and bridge production.
Do you mill crowns in-house or send work to a third-party milling center?
All milling is done in-house on a Dentsply Sirona inLab MC X5 five-axis unit. No Dani Dental crown or bridge case is routed to an external milling center. In-house milling means we control the CAD-to-mill handoff, maintain block lot traceability, and can pull a case back for redesign without waiting on a third-party queue. For doctors who have experienced fit inconsistency from labs that outsource milling, this is the structural difference.
What is your remake policy if a crown does not fit at delivery?
If a crown does not seat due to a lab fabrication issue, we remake it at no charge. Call the technician whose name is on the packing sheet. We ask for the crown returned with a note describing the seating issue. Remakes caused by changed clinical conditions, altered preps, or updated scans not submitted to the lab are billed at standard rate. Our 2024 remake rate for crown and bridge was below 2.5%, and we document every remake to track cause and prevent recurrence.
Can Dani Dental support multi-location DSO accounts with crown and bridge volume?
Yes, within our fit range. We work with DSO groups operating 10 to 30 offices where a single-lab partnership is operationally practical. We set up location-specific Rx pads, a single billing contact, and weekly volume reporting available on request. Courier routing is coordinated centrally. Past 50 offices the operational model does not scale the way clinicians in those groups need, so we are transparent about that ceiling during the onboarding conversation rather than after the contract is signed.
How do I know who the technician is on my specific case?
The technician assigned to your case is named on the case confirmation email sent when your scan or impression is logged into the queue. That same name and direct phone number appear on the packing sheet when the case ships. You are not calling a front desk and getting routed. You are calling the person who designed and reviewed your restoration. For complex anterior cases, the technician may reach out proactively before design begins if they have a question about the Rx.
