Surprise Occlusal Splint / Night Guard

Surprise has grown into one of the fastest-expanding corridors in the West Valley, and the dental practices serving Sun City Grand, Marley Park, and the 303 corridor are seeing a corresponding rise in bruxism and TMD case volume. When you send an occlusal-splint case to Dani Dental, the workflow starts with your intraoral scan or a high-accuracy PVS impression. From there, the case moves directly into our CAD workflow: we digitally articulate the arch pair, verify centric relation, and mill the appliance from the material specified in your Rx.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Most national-network labs route Surprise cases through a regional hub that may be 1,500 miles away. Your Rx gets keyed by a coordinator who has never spoken to your assistant, and the callback window is measured in business days. Dani Dental ships every occlusal-splint case with the direct-line extension of the technician who built it. That is a structural difference, not a marketing claim. Large fulfillment-tier labs have optimized for throughput. Their occlusal splints come off the same milling queue as 400 other units that day. Our production schedule is sized so a named technician reviews the articulation on every case before it leaves the building. When a fit issue does surface, you call that technician directly, not a general queue. Remake decisions get made in a single conversation, not a 48-hour ticket thread. On material transparency: we document the exact acrylic or thermoplastic specification on the case ticket. If your patient's insurance or clinical notes require a specific hardness rating or material code, that information travels with the appliance. Practices in the West Valley that have moved occlusal-splint volume to Dani from category-standard fulfillment labs report the primary reason in two words: communication speed.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

We fabricate hard acrylic Michigan-style splints, dual-laminate hybrid guards, and soft thermoplastic night guards. Each appliance ships with the technician's direct extension and a printed occlusal contact map so your team can verify seating in under two minutes. No guesswork at the chair. No generic instruction sheet from a fulfillment center. Rush 3-day turnaround is available for established accounts at no markup over the standard fee. If you are a new practice in the Surprise or Peoria metro area looking to evaluate fit and communication before committing volume, the Doctor Kit on our homepage is the fastest way to start a test case with zero obligation.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

What impression or scan formats do you accept for occlusal-splint cases from Surprise practices?
We accept STL files from any intraoral scanner (Medit, iTero, 3Shape, and others) as well as PVS or polyether full-arch impressions shipped via prepaid courier. Digital cases submitted before 2 PM MST on a business day enter production same day. Impression-based cases enter production the morning after confirmed receipt at our Arizona facility.
How do you handle occlusal contact verification on the finished splint?
Every hard acrylic splint ships with a printed occlusal contact map generated from the digital articulation. The map shows anterior guidance angle and posterior disclusion so your team can confirm seating matches the Rx intent before the patient sits down. If contacts are off at delivery, call the technician on the case directly. We resolve fit questions on the same call in most cases.
What is the turnaround time for a standard night guard sent from a Surprise dental office?
Standard turnaround is 5 business days from scan receipt or impression arrival. Rush 3-day fabrication is available for established accounts at the same fee. If you are sending a first case, let us know on the Rx and we will flag it for priority scheduling so you can evaluate our turnaround and fit accuracy before committing ongoing volume.
Do you fabricate both hard acrylic and dual-laminate hybrid splints?
Yes. We mill hard acrylic Michigan-style splints from 3mm or 4mm puck stock, fabricate dual-laminate hard-soft hybrids for patients who cannot tolerate full hard appliances, and press soft thermoplastic guards for lighter bruxism or sports-protection cases. Specify the type and thickness on your Rx; if the clinical picture is ambiguous, the assigned technician will call before fabrication begins.
How does billing work for Surprise practices ordering occlusal splints?
Pricing is itemized per appliance type with no minimum order and no procurement maze. We invoice per case with net-15 terms for established accounts. New practices receive per-case invoicing with payment-at-ship until account history is established, typically after the first 3 cases. No hidden setup fees or account-activation charges apply to Surprise or West Valley practices.
Can you match a splint to an existing full-arch prosthetic case also fabricated at Dani Dental?
Yes, and this is one of the cleaner advantages of sending both prosthetic and protective-appliance work to the same lab. When the final crown or implant restoration and the night guard originate from the same digital file set, the occlusal scheme on the splint is matched to the actual prosthetic geometry rather than a separate impression taken weeks later. Coordinate via your case manager and we will link the files in the production queue.
