Las Vegas Intraoral Scan Acceptance

Las Vegas practices have moved fast on intraoral scanning. The technology investment happened. The bottleneck now is finding a lab that actually works with the files rather than converting them back to analog workflows behind the scenes. Dani Dental accepts native digital files from every major scanner platform, opens them in 3Shape Dental System, and designs in the same digital environment. Nothing gets printed to stone, poured, or articulated when the case geometry does not require it.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Most labs that claim digital acceptance are still running a conversion step in the background: your scan goes in, a printed or poured model comes out, and the rest of the workflow is analog. That step reintroduces distortion. It also costs you two or three days you are not seeing on the invoice. Dani Dental's workflow is digital from intake to mill. The scan is the model. No hidden analog bridge. National-network labs in this category process files through centralized design hubs where the technician reviewing your case has no relationship with your practice and no stake in your remake rate. At Dani Dental, each case is assigned to a named technician. That technician's direct line is on the return slip. If a Las Vegas practice has a seating issue on a milled crown, the call goes to the person who designed it , not a general customer-service queue routing to whoever picks up. On price: digital cases at Dani Dental are priced at the restoration level, not the technology-access level. There is no surcharge for STL files, no annual portal fee, no scanner-compatibility premium. What you pay is the crown fee or the bridge fee. Las Vegas practices working with large-format labs have reported paying bundled 'digital service' line items that inflate per-unit cost by 15 to 20 percent over the stated price list. That does not happen here.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

For a Las Vegas dentist sending crown, bridge, or implant cases, that means the scan you took chairside is the model we design from. Margin calls happen in the software, occlusal contacts are set digitally, and the technician reviewing your case can share a screenshot of the design before milling if you want sign-off. That feedback loop runs by email or text , not a phone queue. Most questions resolve within two business hours during the standard Monday-through-Friday production window. Full-arch scans for hybrid restorations and implant-supported cases follow the same intake path. Attach the CBCT DICOM alongside the surface scan and the implant case gets a dedicated setup review. Las Vegas is a high-volume market for full-arch prosthetics and we have designed the intake process accordingly , flagged scan quality, missing angulation data, or interocclusal space concerns are communicated before fabrication, not after seating.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

Which intraoral scanner formats does Dani Dental accept from Las Vegas practices?
We accept STL, OBJ, PLY, and DCM files from all major platforms including iTero (Align Technology), 3Shape TRIOS, Medit i500 and i700, Carestream CS 3600, and Planmeca PlanScan. If your scanner exports a standard mesh format, it works. No conversion fees apply to any of these file types, and there is no proprietary portal you are required to use.
How do I send a scan file from my Las Vegas practice to Dani Dental?
Files can be submitted through our secure upload portal, shared via 3Shape Communicate, or emailed directly for cases under 25 MB. For full-arch cases with accompanying CBCT data, the portal is preferred because DICOM files run large. Once received, you get an automated confirmation and a technician acknowledgment within four business hours on standard weekdays.
Does Dani Dental flag scan quality issues before fabricating the restoration?
Yes. Every file goes through a quality check before design begins. If there are voids at the margin, insufficient opposing dentition data, or interocclusal clearance that falls outside acceptable parameters, we contact the sending practice before milling. The goal is to catch it in eight minutes of review rather than at a seating appointment three days later.
What is the turnaround time for scan-originated crown and bridge cases shipped to Las Vegas?
Standard single-unit milled restorations run a five-business-day turnaround from file receipt to delivery. Rush cases with 48-hour turnaround are available for an additional fee stated on the price sheet. Full-arch implant-supported cases are quoted individually because the design review and try-in sequencing vary by case complexity, but most complete within 10 to 14 business days.
Can I get a design preview before the case goes to the mill?
Yes. Request a pre-mill design review when submitting the case and the assigned technician will share a screenshot of the proposed contours and contacts before fabrication. This adds roughly four to eight hours depending on queue volume. Most Las Vegas practices use this option for anterior esthetic cases or any situation where occlusal contacts are tight.
Is there a minimum case volume required for a Las Vegas practice to use Dani Dental's digital intake?
No minimum. A practice sending two scan cases per month gets the same file-intake process, the same named-technician assignment, and the same direct communication line as a high-volume account. The digital workflow does not require a volume commitment or an annual agreement , cases are accepted individually at the standard price list.
