Albuquerque CAD/CAM Milled Restoration

CAD/CAM milled restorations start with your digital file. Send an intraoral scan or a CBCT-derived STL from your Albuquerque practice, and our milling workflow takes it from there. We mill in-house using zirconia, IPS e.max, and PMMA blocks selected to match the clinical indication, whether that is a single-unit posterior crown, a multi-unit anterior bridge, or an implant-supported screw-retained crown on a stock or custom titanium base.

  • Pre-paid two-way shipping, nationwide
  • A named technician on every case
  • Margins verified against your prescription
  • Tempe + Tucson locations

THE SERVICE

Built to your prescription.

THE DETAIL

How we build it.

Most national-network labs route Albuquerque accounts through a regional intake hub, which means your case notes pass through two or three handoffs before a technician touches the block. The milling technician who produces your crown may never read the shade note or the occlusal clearance flag you wrote. That chain is where remake cases are born. Dani Dental assigns one technician per account, and that technician owns the case from scan review through quality check. Turnaround from regional distribution labs often quotes five to seven business days but that clock starts after intake processing, which can add a full day or two. Our five-day standard includes intake. Rush cases for Albuquerque-area practices ship in three business days when the scan arrives clean before noon. We state those windows on the packing slip, not in the fine print of a service agreement. On quality: our internal remake rate sits below 2.5 percent across milled cases. For context, industry survey data from dental lab trade publications puts the category average closer to 5 to 8 percent. That gap is the difference between a crown that seats at delivery and one that comes back for a second try, costing your team chair time and your patient an extra appointment.

GETTING CASES TO US

Logistics, to the bench.

Albuquerque practices deal with the same procurement frustrations as any mid-market metro: labs that are geographically distant, communication that routes through a call center, and case notes that never reach the person actually milling the crown. Our workflow is set up differently. Every milled case is assigned to a named technician before it enters the queue. That technician reviews the scan for margin clarity, contacts your office directly if something is off, and ships the case with their direct line included in the box. For Albuquerque clinicians moving toward a fully digital operatory, we accept files from all major scanners including iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, and Carestream. No analog impression is required for milled cases. If you are still in transition and prefer to send a PVS impression, we can digitize it at our Arizona facility before milling begins.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What practices ask

Which scanners does Dani Dental accept for milled-restoration cases from Albuquerque?
We accept STL and DCM files from all major intraoral scanners: iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit i500 and i700, Carestream CS 3600, and Planmeca Emerald. Files can be uploaded through our case portal or sent via your scanner's built-in lab connection if Dani Dental is already listed in your contacts. If you are unsure about compatibility, call us and we will confirm in under ten minutes.
What is the turnaround time for milled crowns shipped to Albuquerque?
Standard turnaround is five business days from the moment your scan clears intake review. Rush cases submitted with a clean scan before noon ship in three business days. Both windows include milling, sintering, staining, glazing, and outbound shipping. We use FedEx Priority overnight to Albuquerque so the crown arrives the morning of your seating appointment, not the afternoon.
Can I still send a PVS impression if my practice has not fully switched to digital scanning?
Yes. Practices in transition can send a vinyl polysiloxane or polyether impression to our Arizona facility. We digitize it using our in-house scanner before the case enters the milling queue. There is a one-business-day addition to the standard turnaround to account for that step. We recommend noting on the case form that you are sending a physical impression so intake does not hold the case waiting for a digital file.
What materials do you mill at Dani Dental?
We mill in monolithic zirconia (standard, high-translucency, and ultra-high-translucency grades), IPS e.max CAD lithium disilicate, and PMMA for long-term temporaries and implant-supported interim restorations. Material selection depends on the clinical indication. Posterior molars under heavy occlusal load typically go monolithic zirconia. Anterior units with esthetic demands typically go lithium disilicate or layered zirconia. Your assigned technician will flag any material mismatch before milling.
How does the named-technician model work for Albuquerque accounts?
When you open an account with Dani Dental, you are assigned a primary bench technician for your milled cases. That technician reviews every scan you submit, sends margin or shade queries directly to your office rather than through a message queue, and signs off on each case before it ships. Their direct phone line is printed on every packing slip. If your primary technician is out, a designated backup covers the case and notifies you by name.
What is your remake policy if a milled restoration does not seat correctly?
If a milled restoration does not seat due to a lab error, we remake it at no charge and expedite shipping. We ask that you send us a photo of the restoration on the die or in the mouth, along with the original case number. Most remake cases are back in Albuquerque within three business days. Cases where the issue traces to a scan artifact or a preparation change after submission are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we will always call before billing.
