Every occlusal splint case opens with a prescription review before fabrication begins. If your Rx specifies a flat-plane Michigan-style hard acrylic splint, a dual-laminate soft-hard guard, an NTI-style anterior deprogrammer, or a Gelb-style anterior repositioning appliance, the technician assigned to the case reads that prescription before touching the model. Cases that arrive with ambiguous bite registrations or conflicting vertical specs get a call within 4 business hours, not a remake 10 days later. For hard acrylic splints, Dani Dental uses a heat-pressure thermoforming and pour-acrylic hybrid process depending on design complexity. Flat-plane stabilization splints are fabricated on articulated stone models using Panadent or Whip Mix articulators, mounted with your bite registration or intraoral scan data. Occlusal contacts are verified at each arch with articulating film to meet bilateral simultaneous contact targets before polishing. The finished surface is high-gloss polished to reduce soft-tissue irritation and plaque accumulation on the palatal and anterior coverage zones. Dual-laminate appliances (soft inner, hard outer) follow the same model-mounting discipline. The laminate bond is pressure-processed, not bench-cured, to eliminate delamination at the flex points that cause patient callbacks. Thickness is held within 0.2 mm of your prescribed specification across the full occlusal table. Anterior repositioning appliances and NTI-style deprogrammers require a more detailed prescription conversation. If you are managing a TMD patient with a condylar repositioning goal, Dani Dental requests your CBCT or tomographic data and a written arc-of-closure note before committing to a design. This is not a compliance gate; it is the information the technician needs to fabricate a device that works at the first delivery appointment instead of the third adjustment. Shipping follows the same protocol as all Dani Dental appliance cases: the appliance ships in a labeled case with the technician's direct phone number, your case number, and a brief adjustment note flagging any fit considerations the technician identified during final inspection. If the case came in as an intraoral scan file through 3Shape Communicate or Dental Wings, the digital file is archived for 24 months so a replacement can be milled or pressed without a new impression.
