Every e.max case begins in the same place: the digital file. Dani Dental accepts STL and PLY files from all major intraoral scanners, including iTero, Trios, Primescan, and Medit. Once the scan lands in the portal, the assigned technician reviews the preparation margin within 2 hours and flags any concerns before CAD work begins. That early checkpoint eliminates the category of remakes caused by downstream discovery of an ambiguous finish line. CAD design is performed in Exocad DentalCAD using Ivoclar's published e.max design guidelines for minimum thickness (0.8 mm occlusal on posterior full-contour, 1.2 mm incisal on anterior). Wall thickness is color-mapped during design review so no unit ships under spec. Anterior cases with esthetic complexity use the cutback-and-layering workflow: the coping is designed conservatively, milled from IPS e.max CAD Multi or LT block depending on case requirements, and layered with IPS e.max Ceram for characterization. The assigned technician, not a generalist finisher, handles the layering on every case. Milling runs on Roland DWX-52D and Amann Girrbach Ceramill Motion units calibrated to Ivoclar block tolerances. Post-mill, every coping goes to the internal fit check station: seated on the printed model from the same digital file, inspected for marginal gap under 50-micron target, and photographed before crystallization. Cases that pass go to the Ivoclar Programat CS4 furnace for the full two-stage crystallization cycle. Cases that do not pass are remilled before crystallization, same day, with no added turnaround impact when caught within the same production window. Shade matching on anterior e.max cases follows a documented protocol that includes the Vita 3D-Master shade guide, natural-light shade tab photography submitted by the clinician, and, on complex cases, direct communication between the technician and the prescribing doctor before any staining or glazing step. Staining and glaze fire both occur in-house. No outsourced finishing steps. The technician who designed the case inspects the final restoration before packaging. Cases ship via FedEx Priority Overnight by default. Rush cases with 3-business-day turnaround are available by direct request to the technician. The prescription form, case photos, and shade selection are all retained in the case file accessible through the doctor portal, so reorders and contralateral restorations reference the same documented spec, not a reinterpretation from scratch.
