For general dentists and prosthodontists, a restoration that seats correctly in the lab but fails at try-in is a direct chair-time loss. Catching either before shipping requires seating the crown on the master die, checking marginal gap with a probe, and verifying proximal contacts on the adjacent teeth in the articulator.
