Anterior single-unit cases with thin gingival biotype favor a system designed around soft-tissue preservation. Full-arch immediate-load cases favor a system engineered for primary stability in compromised bone.</p><p>Choose Astra EV when the case is a single anterior unit with high esthetic demand, the patient presents with thin biotype, and a staged protocol is acceptable. The OsseoSpeed surface and conical seal preserve crestal bone, which matters when the gumline is the case. Pick Straumann BLX when the plan is an immediate-load full-arch hybrid, the bone quality is type III or IV, or the patient cannot tolerate a multi-stage timeline. SLActive shortens the integration window enough to make same-day or same-week loading defensible.</p><p>Use either system for posterior single units in healthy bone; the differentiator collapses at that indication. Talk to us before placement on full-arch cases. Component selection at the surgical stage determines whether the prosthetic plan stays on the original timeline.</p>
