What is a custom hybrid abutment?
A custom hybrid abutment is a two-piece implant abutment with a titanium base bonded to a CAD-designed zirconia or lithium disilicate superstructure. The titanium connects to the implant for strength at the joint, while the ceramic upper half shapes the emergence profile and supports the final crown esthetics.

THE FULL PICTURE
Why it works this way
The two-piece construction
A custom hybrid abutment combines two materials into one restorative component. The lower half is a prefabricated titanium base (Ti-base) that mates to the implant connection with a validated, OEM-matched interface. The upper half is CAD-designed and milled from zirconia or lithium disilicate, then bonded to the Ti-base in the lab. The result is a single seated unit that carries the mechanical load through titanium while presenting ceramic to the soft tissue.
