What a milestone is, and why it matters
A case milestone is a defined checkpoint in the lab workflow where the case state changes: received and scanned, CAD design ready for approval, milling or printing complete, finishing and staining, QC pass, shipped. Five to seven checkpoints per case is typical for a digital crown and bridge job. Implant and full-arch cases run longer, sometimes twelve checkpoints across six to eight weeks.
